My 5 year old Toro Timecutter mower's battery only stayed at 11.8v after sitting idle over the winter. It is clear that sulphation has taken place. I didn't know if I needed a brand new battery but thought I needed a charger anyway to avoid similar problems in the future. This charger was easy to set up and basically works on its own. I attached it to the mower battery with clamps and left it overnight. The battery was fully charged the next day. And I've noticed that Toro is working a lot harder than last season. It's amazing the difference a fully charged battery makes. I've read that some drip chargers can actually reverse sulfation if the battery isn't overly drained. I don't expect that from this model, but I'm curious to see if my battery will revive if I leave this charger for a few weeks. I will update my review if these results are positive.
