Get started with this USA: Metric RULES! Komelon PG85 Tape Measure

I don't like a tape measure with metric and imperial divisions. It invariably seems that when I want the metric marked side (or vice versa) it's on the OTHER side and I have to resort to warping to change the orientation of the tape and often accuracy is sacrificed. I came across this product while looking for a good tape measure to fill my toolboxes. Many times I've taken the cassette out of the kitchen drawer and then forgotten to return it. This can lead to a violation of inner strength; Okay, so it is, hence my search. What caught my attention were the reviews, which raved about the excellent build quality, specifically that the locking mechanism was solid and seemed to last a long time. Even bands from a well-known brand seem to have faulty or cheap locks, which is more frustrating than helpful. Being only able to buy tape measure was a bonus. When measuring distances without reference to specific imperial lengths, it doesn't matter which scale is used and the metric system is easier to work with. Quality - Looks and feels at least a notch above other brands* Grip - The rubberized grip gets the job done and isn't so soft it's sticky. That's right.* The lock - the lock is really smooth and secure. It won't wobble or break with constant use.* Retrieval - when the lock is released, the strap retracts gently and at a speed that doesn't threaten to cut off a finger, time will tell how it holds up. If there are any problems, I will update the rating.
