Something has definitely changed in the production of my favorite brand of cotton swabs and now after decades of daily use I am looking for a new brand! Every pack I've bought in the past few months has far less cotton on one end of the tampon and dried, crusty substance like glue on the other end, and the rods themselves are brittle and bent before even being touched! I found last year's box in our guest bathroom and it had a lot more cotton on the ends, plus the boning was actually about 1/2 inch longer! Also, they are not as soft as before. Don't get me wrong, they work, I try not to use them too much because I know they're bad for your ears. But they do help remove wax and get rid of the extra stuff they need to clean their ears, but personally I find the quality isn't what it used to be.
