Purchased to wall mount a 65" LCD TV (not yet purchased). It is very durable and consists of two parts: the brackets that screw to the wall and the brackets that attach to the back of the TV. The brackets have hooks that hang from the frame. It wasn't very difficult, but it wasn't easy either. They stress the need to screw in the bolts (of course, 65-inch TVs aren't exactly light) so make sure you have a bolt finder. The supplied eyebolts are very large so you will need to pre-drill pilot holes in the studs. Also, they really emphasize the need to drill the CENTER of the bolt (for maximum carrying capacity), so take your time to use this bolt gauge properly. I encountered three problems. First of all, for now I'm using my old 42 inch TV with the VESA mount with the minimum width allowed for the distance between the two mounting brackets. As you can see, there is a metal plate in the middle of the wall mount. This is actually used to connect the two halves of the frame together. This also determines the minimum allowable distance between two mounting brackets. In order to mount the TV on a stand with minimally spaced brackets, I had to loosen and adjust the brackets a few times to allow them to stretch out enough to mount this thing. Too bad they just didn't make one piece of metal for the wall shelf instead of making it in two pieces and having this stupid plate inside. Also 42 inch TVs are not good. It's definitely a light when you're working alone! Second, the plate also limits the distance you can move the TV left and right on the wall studs. My studs were wide enough to have eyebolts on either side of the wall stud, but with this panel in the middle, I was lucky enough to have them slide left far enough to be in the middle of my wall. It's not really 100% centered, but close as far as I can tell. Third, another stupid record. This was done to cover the junction box where my cables come out of the wall. I could move it just enough to get the cables out, but it was at the limit of how far I could move it. Oh, and there are no slots or cutouts for cables to run through the plate, rack, or brackets. . If your cables aren't long enough to bypass the brackets, or your inputs aren't between the brackets, then you're a bit confused. They come with "brackets" that protrude the TV about 1/2 inch or so from the wall and allow for cable management, but certainly don't give the nice, sleek look you want with a wall-mounted TV. Directions were well written. Everything was labeled and came in individually wrapped, clearly labeled containers. The quality is excellent. The price is great. Overall a very good mount. The issues I encountered were partly due to having a relatively small TV with the minimum supported Vesa mount size. If the brackets were further apart, it would be easier. Hopefully this will also be the case with my 65 inch TV (every time I buy one!). Thanks for a wonderful product!
