Review on Oster Metallic Grey 2 Slice Bread and Bagel Toaster: Efficient Toasting Perfection by Robert Viher

This toaster received many positive reviews due to the beautiful purple colour. I like it myself. To my disappointment, I saw a small scratch in the paint right next to one of the bread slots, but I didn't touch it. But what matters most is how this toaster works, a fact that many seem to ignore. To be honest, I'm fed up with products that are supposed to be simple and reliable but don't work. Here we are talking about a toaster and the average price range. Why can't you expect a toaster to toast evenly? I've attached 2 photos of a piece of whole grain toast that was toasted on 4 settings. It was a fresh piece of bread and look how much darker one side is than the other. It all happens, I use this machine for all settings and to toast a slice or two of bread. I had an old toaster that was so old it was rusty and I foolishly threw it away when I bought this one. Yes, I had to work with this to hold the bread in place, but once it was evenly toasted. I've researched here and every toaster seems to have people saying they don't toast evenly, with photos to prove it. So I guess I have to agree and leave this one, but I honestly don't recommend it because it just doesn't get the job done. But if you like purple, then go for it.
