I bought this to replace the Cradlepoint MBR 900 which worked fine with my 3G/4G card but was not able to transfer as much data as 4G in became available in my area. . I am mostly satisfied with this purchase. Good: Works great with Verizon UML 290 and my Wilson 4G LTE signal booster kit. Aesthetically pleasing and takes up quite a bit of space on my desk. Keeps a connection and recovers on its own most of the time. Provides a near-reliable, always-on 4G connection. Bad: This would have gotten 5 stars if the latest firmware hadn't crashed on me. My 4G signal strength is slightly lower on my Verizon UML 290 than when connected directly to my iMac. And why would Cradlepoint limit four LAN ports to 100 megabytes if they don't want you to spend a lot more to get a more expensive product? Who is doing this in 2013? Oh yes, Cradlepoint does. A few improvements (stable firmware, 1000 megaports lan) and it will be almost perfect. It was also easy to put my modem into LTE-only mode, but somehow the March/April 2013 firmware kept changing it and my signal kept dropping until I went back to the December 2012 firmware. After that I was able to save my LTE settings and it worked pretty well 95% of the time. We had to manually power cycle the router a few times to restore a stable 4G connection, but not too often to cause the Cradlepoint to ring excessively. Verdict: Good overall as it is currently our main broadband connection over a 4G connection. It's worth the investment, but if Cradlepoint ever comes up with something better for the same price, I'll probably buy it. I recommend buying if you need a good 4G router.
