I have 2 cars and wanted something easy to use and self diagnose. This scanner is essential for any DIY enthusiast or anyone who wants to make sure their mechanic is being honest with them and fixing an issue. It is very intuitive and easy to use. Connect to your car's OBD2 port, start the car and run the test you want. It can check trouble codes, run an emissions readiness test, and give you real-time readings from systems controlled by your car (like air temp sensor, RPM, all sorts of cool stuff). It's inexpensive and will pay for itself in no time if your car is showing an error code that you can fix yourself. And the cord is long enough to use while sitting in the driver's seat. My buddy has one that requires you to crouch down to plug it in and use his scanner. Makes a world of difference when trying to figure out what's wrong with your car in the rain.
