Review on Explore In Style With UMBRELLALABORATORY Steampunk Goggles Featuring A Classic Compass Design And Colored Lenses by Kim Kajer

Great option for Steampunk

My first order was, unfortunately, missing the magnifying lenses. The ring clamp was there, just missing the lenses. However, Ebay quickly sent a replacement that did have the magnifying lenses. Both sets of goggles that I received were quite nice. The color from the picture is pretty accurate. The outer rings of the lenses have a very nice copper tone, the main body is gloss black and the ring clamp is steel as are the magnifying lenses. The plastic that the lenses are made from is a hard plastic, so do not expect them to mold around your face like some splash goggles do. They are, however, decently comfortable for short periods of time. I wear them over a cowboy hat, and the band ends up looking like a hat band. The blue lenses were crisp and easy to see through. They are very dark, but this should be expected since they are "welding goggles." That said, I doubt these are meant to be actual welding goggles in their current configuration, and I, personally, would not risk my retinas. These were a great option for my Steampunk costume.

Pros
  • They're perfect for Steampunk themed rides and car shows
Cons
  • The goggles might not be suitable for use around chemical fumes or other harmful substances
