After my husband complained that he never grills meat, I decided to check the accuracy of this thermometer. It shows boiling water at 210 and ice water at 36. This is consistent, ran three different tests. Not happy because I do a lot of baking and candy making for the holidays and I need something precise. Will contact ThermoPro to see if it can be calibrated, if not then I've lost over $50. Also, the magnet on the back isn't strong enough to stay on my fridge or oven door, so it has to be stored in a drawer.
