Includes 2 filters. One filter looks like a bunch of kites wrapped around a plastic core and the other looks like paper towels. We used the one with the kite rope first because it claimed to be better than all the others. As soon as I put it in I noticed a very strong chemical odor in the water and it lasted much longer than the 5 minute runtime advertised before testing the water. We let it run for almost 20 minutes until the smell dissipates. The water had an odd taste but I figured it might just be debris from the rest of the rope so I ran it through my shave and all was fine. The next morning, however, was a very different story. I went outside to check out the filter and it was orange. Some filters trap these bacteria and produce pink or orange slime. I considered letting the water run a little more to see if it cleared up, but it only got worse. We decided to replace it with another filter and it works great. But it was expensive and having only one job sucks.
