I bought this based on the reviews. To be honest I'm not very impressed with this material. I like the smell, but that's about it. I have actually switched to using unrefined virgin coconut oil. You can get a large jar for almost the same price as that small bottle of shaving oil. It gets a little thicker so that there are no blade irritations. It rinses (somewhat) clean, doesn't clog pores, and leaves skin soft (manly!). It also works great as a hand/body lotion or face moisturizer. Thing is amazing. However, this is not a review of the amazing aspects of coconut oil. I felt like this shaving oil wasn't thick enough. In fact, my skin just absorbed it. I felt like I had to use a quarter bottle if I wanted to lightly cover my face/neck. 6-8 drops bring me nothing. However, I'm glad I bought it. This led me to researching "shaving oils" and using coconut oil, which I used to cook with. If you're thinking about buying one, try coconut oil.
