Hot Food Not Hot for thermos flasks

I liked everything about this thermos flask. Perfect size, comfortable grip, nice case. The only problem was that he just didn't keep my warm food warm. The description said it would keep food hot for 12 hours, but after only 6 hours my soup was only warm (very unsatisfactory). We added boiling water to the thermos to warm it up (as directed), dumped it out, then added scalding hot soup. We left the house at 6 a.m. and by midday it was barely warm. It may be ok for cold food/liquids, but unfortunately keeping food warm didn't work for me.
