We needed a slim suit for our 10.5 year-old, (4' 9" and 84 lbs), and saw a few in this price range. We decided to go with this after seeing all of the great reviews. I was blown away by the quality of the suit when it arrived. The inner shirt is on the thin side but was good enough. The Pants, Suit Jacket and Vest were all of great quality. My son (4'9" and 84lbs) just fit the size 10. Everything was a bit of a struggle getting on, especially the pants where we ulimtately popped the button. I understand that it is a slim suit though.so a little but of squeezing in was expected. I also saw that he was on the upper limit (as far as weight goes) for the size 10, but I feared the size 12 would be too big. The pants included with the size 10 suit was a perfect length for him. I think the weight/age chart is pretty accurate so I would go off of that when deciding on sizing. While we only needed this for one event, I have no doubt that the suit will last for a while. I highlt recommend this slim suit for kids
