I bought these because I really wanted the LED candles to be grey/silver glass AND I also wanted black wicks so they look more believable when off. They're great, but I still prefer moving wicks (which I have in another cheaper LED candle set). If they could somehow combine moving wick technology with their looks, they would have a real winner. Another thing is that if you light them together with the remote control, they all "pulse" synchronously. which is not very plausible with 3 candles next to each other. Because of this, I prefer to disconnect them or turn them on "manually" rather than using the remote to keep them out of sync. them to models with movable wicks. It's more of a pulsing than a flickering. Nevertheless, it creates a great atmosphere and even when switched off they still look elegant.
