Worked fine after modification
Cut key at local locksmith. You need to transfer the "chip" from the old key to the new key. It's a little ball in the corner of the old key. The new key had to be changed slightly, the button lugs were a bit long and the buttons were pressed all at once which caused the remote to not work.
