The locking system is satisfactory and adequate. The small piece of metal next to it rattles and annoys me, as does the Velcro behind the buckle. Instead of using a quick release buckle, you also have to put up with the fact that it closes with Velcro on the back. Also the strap itself is quite thin and not thick as I expected.
