I bought this document camera to use in my classroom. I use it to show student work, demonstrate document analysis, view pictures, etc. It can also be used for filming, which is very convenient. This has worked well so far, but I have two complaints: (1) The camera is constantly adjusting between light and dark based on how it perceives the environment. This means when I bend over the document, the brightness of the display changes (I'm projecting it onto a SMART Board). It's quite annoying and never seems bright enough. I will place a table lamp next to the camera in hopes it can provide a constant light source. (2) Image orientation cannot be rotated - although the specs seem to suggest it can. That's a problem because it means the camera has to be on the same side of the paper as me if I want it to be on the right side on the screen. So I have to deal with the camera and base getting in the way when trying to write on documents etc. e) This is perhaps my biggest complaint. Overall I'm not dissatisfied because there really isn't anything else at this price point, but overall I'm a bit disappointed with the product.
