Doesn't read properly and takes forever to get up to speed.
This thermometer is horrible! I bought this because I make homemade yogurt for my daughter and I need the temperatures to be accurate. I had to have it replaced calibrated before using it and it seemed to work fine. But I've since used it for both meat and boiling water with incorrect readings. For boiling water it wasn't more than 190. It also ALWAYS needed to check the temp and who has so much time while cooking. It was also very difficult to calibrate. We bought another thermometer yesterday to replace this one.
