I bought it as a temporary fix for a 13.3 inch laptop with a broken screen. I usually just plug in an external VGA monitor or something, but the laptop is very cramped and I needed something smaller than even an old 15" 4:3 display with a stand. It's the perfect patch and when it's no longer needed I can use it with my Raspberry Pi or other devices. The best surprise for me is the 5V/2A USB power supply. Plug it into one of the laptop's USB ports, it turns on, HDMI gets a signal and it's ready to use. No need to plug an extension cord into an outlet or sacrifice any of your existing peripherals to turn it on. Color and clarity are good, if nothing special. No dead pixels. The port selection is helpful. The included tablet stand is solid and more adjustable than I expected, and the carrying case for the stand and power adapter is handy. It's pricey for what you get, but it's worth it for the portability and exact customization to my specific needs. Will update this review if there are any durability issues over time.
