Very simple. Collect, use, clean. It is great! I haven't tried the slicing mechanism, but I did slice a ton of cheese. It's fast and great! The bowl doesn't hold much, so I had to pour the shredded cheese into half a block. but it doesn't really matter. I will take it upon myself to have a larger machine that takes up additional counter/storage space. The suction cups are surprisingly effective. I forget they're there until I go to move it, that's how it should be. I bought this for my mom because she hates scratching things and she was so happy with it that she ordered one for her sister! Mom has also revived some of the old recipes she gave up because she didn't want to waste time grating. I am very happy with this little machine and will buy the same one!
