Doesn't work properly

I have to unplug and reinsert every time I insert an SD card which defeats the purpose of this card as they protect against wear and tear during insertion and removal supposed to be a micro sd card. I should take a closer look, it could be a software issue, but I doubt it is. I've read that some of them just don't work the way they should. I would go back but didn't have time to when I first started using it.
