I thought they would resemble the lugs used on circuit boards. They're actually more like rivets, as the name suggests. They make good reinforced "vias" or connectors for wires on circuit boards. I don't have tools to crimp them, but I drill a small press-fit hole, drive them in, and then place the board on a hard surface to mount. I either use a punch with nails to widen the top a bit, or I put a small ball bearing on top and lightly press on the arbor press. To fix holes in PCBs that are already populated, I insert a rivet and solder a ring of copper wire to the top. The rivets are not copper but brass or brass plated, but they are usually soldered with a small amount of flux.
