Review on 🍞 Brentwood 4-Slice Black Toaster: Sleek Design and Efficient Toasting by Beth Wilson

Works but cheap

I love discounts so I bought this toaster to decorate our new house. The metal is thin and some of the plates have shifted when taken out of the box. They slipped right back in, but you could tell it wasn't a higher quality model. Pros: I like the stop button - this feature allows you to pop the toast at any time without shaking the levers. fried well. Nice and smooth with very small "hot spots". Bad Points: There's a small notch on the adjustment knobs so you know where to set the toast level, but it's VERY small and unmarked so you'll have to blindly bluff to see which toaster setting is on. A simple little white mark is really all that's needed - maybe a little paint stroke would help. The bottom can't be removed to clean or remove crumbs without undoing two screws - there are two metal flaps underneath this toaster (one screw each) so you have to turn the thing upside down to unscrew it. In fact, it is not recommended to regularly clean the toaster. This is NOT a heavy duty toaster - I wouldn't trust it if it falls on the floor. Overall verdict: Basically a good toaster if you don't use it often and keep it safe. . We toast bagels a lot, so we don't expect this to last as long as previous models we've had. Not a bad deal, but not a great one either. This is the toaster to get if you know you'll be saving up for a better model later but need something to keep you going until then.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
