We've been looking for a button down zip up coat for a long time. This is a great winter coat for my 3 year old who hasn't quite mastered the zip yet. Zalcro just doesn't work as a zipper alternative. Especially on the farm, where coats are washed about once a week. Zalcro sticks to everything and eventually stops sticking to himself. The hood is also closed with two buttons so that the hood fits snugly on the body. This is very important for the wind in our region. My three year old is quite picky when it comes to his clothes and comfort. We bought five winter coats last year before we found one he would wear. This year we got lucky and he liked the first one we bought. He had to choose a color. The cuffs are tight but not too tight. This is one of its main complaints.
