Love the smell. I changed my shampoo and conditioner to unscented (it's better for your hair) and I like to smell nice and I don't want to put perfume on my hair, that defeats the purpose. I didn't see the smell anywhere on the container so I figured it wasn't there, oh my god it was. I was very surprised and very happy. This can be annoying for some, but I really like it and it's not as bad as when the hair is dry. Well how does it work. So I've been on the natural hair journey for about a year now and haven't used heat for about 8 months or more. Even with frequent use of heat before, my hair was not damaged. I am the only one in my family who has thick and curly hair, I would classify my hair as 3b curly and wavy hair. I'm Italian but I'm the only one who inherited the hair, everyone else has fine hair that falls naturally. I use Aussie hairspray and spritz my hair after the shower and go to bed with my hair spread out on my pillow. Knowing what kind of fullness my hair naturally has has helped me a lot. It minimizes frizz and it wasn't harsh (since my hair was very damp when I applied it). Now I wear a silk hat that I wear before bed. My hair takes longer to dry. But my hair has never looked so defined. I then came across this product because I didn't want to use hairspray anymore and when using hairspray there were still curls and I wanted it to be even more defined. The first thing that struck me upon opening was that the smell was amazing and tropical. Sometimes I smell mango, sometimes pineapple, sometimes coconut. It's a wild ride but overall I think it smells amazing and tropical. I apply it after the shower and go to bed with wet hair. I used it with the silk cap I have and it was just amazing. It was mostly determined. I definitely have to play with it some more but I think it's a great move for my hair. It has a good grip, just what I wanted. My hair is still soft but you can definitely tell there is a product in it that I don't really like but it looks amazing and it's not crunchy or anything so I think I should give that a little bit. My only issue is that it can be a bit lumpy. After applying it to my hair and my hair is dry I notice a small amount of white dots in my hair. It's not noticeable unless you look very closely, but I don't like that aspect. So when using it, be sure to rub it between your hands to break it down a bit, that seems to help me. My hair is generally very healthy even though I straighten it all the time so it's still healthy. . I only apply it to my hair before bed and when I wake up I apply some argon oil to make my hair shiny and fresher. I really try to stay away from complicated hair and beauty treatments, the simpler the better. I really believe that a silk hat can help many people with curly hair. And I never thought of wearing a hat until I tried the curly hair method and tried styling my hair at night with a cotton t-shirt (which absolutely helps, make sure to try it if you haven't already to have). but the shirt may be a little bulky and uncomfortable for sleeping. I therefore recommend this product without hesitation. I also suggest getting either a silk hat or silk pillow or both to combat frizz and aging. I bought both from Amazon.
