Sophisticated design. It doesn't depend on springs to hold it in place. It also doesn't have any plastic parts that break when tightened to hold the tablet in place. Yes it has plastic parts but they are not used in a way that can break them. This is my second attempt at using a tablet holder. My first one didn't work, broke and I had to throw it away. The basis is also well thought out. good value
