Review on 🎧 Nobsound NS-08E: Superior Hi-Fi Valve Headphone Amplifier for Unparalleled Audio Performance by Mark Bishop

This review is actually a simple comparison of 4 different headphone amps. First of all, I want to make it clear that I'm not a music fan, not even close. I just love listening to music, any music I like. So this review is what I personally think of these products, nothing professional. Here are 4 headphone amps (The DAC I use is a Logitech 980-000910 Bluetooth Audio Adapter, it costs $21.98 from Revain. And I know it's probably not the DAC you want to buy from the most popular brands by Fiio. But to be honest when I compare these sub $100 DACs I just don't see any difference to Logitech in that they are bluetooth and easy to reconnect to other devices. Like I said, I'm not once close to an audiophile, so I can't tell)1. Fulla 2 by Schiit: $99 plus $10 shipping for a total of $109. I know it's a DAC/amplifier and I know it's a solid state amplifier. But if you buy any of the tube amps listed below, you will probably buy a DAC to pair with it, after buying the DAC the price will be very close. And all the tube amps I've compared here aren't real tube amps, they're all hybrids. That's why I've also listed Fulla 2.2 here. SMSL T2 2X6J9 vacuum tube headphone amp: $59.90 from Revain (total with DAC $81.88)3. Nobsound NS-08E Integrated Tube Amp: $50 from Revain (total with DAC $71.98)4. Bravo Audio V2 Class A 12AU7 Tube Multi-Hybrid Headphone Amp: $66.98 from Revain (total with DAC $88.96). So now you know the overall price, all tube amps seem cheaper. But…….if you've bought tube amps I'm sure you'll want to try tube reels sooner or later, be aware that this is your amp expense as well. That's why I said that Fulla 2's price is close to other tube amps. The price is the first thing I look at; Second, the performance for the headphones. I don't have many headphones and this review isn't about headphones so please don't ask me any questions about headphones. I use Sennheiser HD600, HD6XX headphones from Massdrop, Sony MDRV6, Sony MDR7506, Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Plus, Audio Technica ATH-AD900X, Beyerdynamic DT 880 Premium 600 OHM, Beyerdynamic DT-990-Pro-250 OHM, Bose. QuietComfort 35, Massdrops Fostex TH-X00, Skullcandy Hesh 2 Bluetooth, Philips SHP 9500S and Monster NTune. NO, I do not have Beats from Dre headphones. If you really want to know why then please GOOGLE. Some are cheap, some are a bit more expensive, some are very easy to drive, some need more power. Let's say the volume slider is from 7am to 5am. 'Watch. This way I can more easily show you how each amplifier delivers power at volume. Yes, I know that headphones with a headphone amplifier are not only about the volume, but how well they handle. But then again, I'm not an audiophile so I don't bother with the technical question and I don't want to see a lot of calculations here. I'm only interested in how the music sounds and how loud it can be. All 4 DAC amps sound good, but tube amps are a bit warmer. You won't notice the difference unless you compare them side by side. With any headphone with an impedance of less than 250 ohms, you will love each of these 4 amplifiers. You all do a good job. You can't go wrong with any of them. So in terms of money, just buy the cheapest you can find. Any headphone of 300 ohms or higher, you need to start with the selection. If you're running 600 ohms, you can forget about #2: the SMSL T2 2X6J9 tube headphone amp. You can cross it off the list, which is what I did, I didn't even bother to roll up the phone. The Fulla 2, Nobsound NS-08E and Bravo Audio V2 300 ohm headphones give you enough volume to give you a headache when you crank the volume up full (ears don't bleed, not that loud) and all I have to do is twist the knob to 12 hours. But not SMSL T2, I have to shoot up to 4 hours. On 600 ohm headphones, Fulla 2 and Nobsound you have to crank up to my normal listening volume for up to 2 hours, from 2 to 3 it adds little, and from 3 to 5 it doesn't (you can turn the knob and backwards play, nothing changes) . Bravo Audio V2 only needs to be turned around 1 o'clock to get the same volume, and from 1 to 4 it adds little. And when I turned on Bravo at 5 it really cranked the volume up more but the distortion starts and I don't like the way the music sounds like that. With SMSL T2, the volume is like someone whispering in your ear, even when you crank it all the way up, and you have to press the earbud very hard to hear what they're trying to say. Maybe it's good to practice your listening skills and how sensitive you are. Sound, but not very good for listening to music. So if you use 600 ohm headphones and don't want to spend a lot of money on a high-end amplifier, choose Bravo. Now I'm going to talk about how much heat these amps will generate. Because I'm already crossing out SMSL T2, so I'm just talking about the other 3. (If you really want to know, that's the same as Nobsound) Fulla 2, you can put your hands on it or just take it. You'll only feel a little warmer than your hand, there's no sound, you can pretend you're not hot, keep your hand on your body for a while and keep telling yourself, that's not hot, that's not hot, that's not hot……….Bravo, you can put your hand on the glass part and do the same as Nobsound. But I dare you to touch the radiator, it can fry eggs! Why we are talking about heat here is a safety issue. I don't think you want to leave Bravo on when you go to work or need to be away from home for more than 3 hours for any other reason, it's like forgetting to turn off the stove when you leave home (very small oven). That means you have to turn it on and off every time you use it and before you leave. It's not a problem for me, but you might want to know. Then the headphone jack, Fulla 2 and Bravo are both 1/4", Nobsound through 3.5mm. Personally I like 1/4 more. Then the input, Nobsound only has 3.5mm audio input, Bravo has both 3.5 mm as well as RCA input, I haven't tried connecting them to different sources and running music at the same time, I just assumed it's not possible, but you can try and let me know how it works. Fulla 2 has a 3.5mm front and a USB in on the back I like the fulla 2 more here I can just plug it into the computer and use it Then external power supply, both Nobsound and Bravo use an external one Charger.Of course you can carry the generator and make it portable But I will only use it at home.Fulla 2 just use the computer USB port to power it.But if you turn on the volume for more than 3 hours , you need an external St rom supply or battery when there is no electricity. Nobsound function and Bravo- these are just headphone amplifiers, there is no other way out. Fulla 2 can be used as a preamp, DAC and headphone amp. I am using Fulla 2, connect to JBL LSR310S, then to LSR 305 and it works fine, and with another connection to Fulla 2 you can use headphones and speakers at the same time, but control the sound from the computer, not from the handle on Fulla 2 .(By the way, if you plug headphones into Fulla 2, the speakers turn off, but Shia Jotunheim doesn't, you need to turn off the speakers or unplug the speaker wires, this is a Shia company I'm trying to get you to train and not sitting there all day thanks shiit jotunheim is a really good piece of shiit rights bravo only needs one I can tell you I've tried a lot of different tubes on both tube amps and honestly not much of a difference between the tubes I think the standard tube works great with either tube amp if you really try different tubes I recommend Amperex on Nobsound. For Bravo I suggest Baldwin > Sctron > RCA. Again, I really don't think you need to spend money on lamps. These are not true tube amps, so the tone doesn't change as much when the tubes are screwed in. But……. again......, I'm not a music lover, not even close, so......what can I say. Finally I can tell you what I choose, but that's just me. I keep Fulla 2 and Bravo. One to carry (Fulla 2 with a computer, not a phone, and I usually carry a battery with me, so I can just use it as a power source for Fulla 2 or just plug it into a computer. The phone I use is Fiio E12), Bravo in my dining room so I don't forget to turn off the stove when I'm done eating. For the price these 2 charge, you really can't go wrong with either of them. I personally like the Fulla 2 better, but I just can't turn down this sweet yet powerful Bravo.
