I've always loved the Philips audio system because I've had a compact stereo system with WOOX sound technology for 20 years and it still sounds like a large component receiver, albeit with multiple speakers and CD, radio and tape recorder. Knowing this, I bought in-ear headphones, which sold for half price at $12, and the sound quality "shocks" (in youth language). Not only that, one of the earbuds on the right stopped working after just a week. I'm glad I had an extra pair of extra plain ear tips from the dollar store because unlike the Philips earbuds they lasted over a month in a work environment and they produce great bass and even the volume and noise cancellation is better. Sad comment on the sound when Philips used to deliver great sound technology and now only the former label releases. I hoped they would keep up with modern technology and quality standards, but apparently the only thing they could keep up with was inflation.
