The product was strong and well made but it didn't straighten my fine hair so it doesn't straighten like Chi or HSI. I've had no issues with the water compartment and the steam only comes out when you press it on your hair so it doesn't burn you or leak. I have fine baby like shoulder length hair and I only had to fix it once and it was an easy process. My hair is fine but difficult to straighten and the humidity only seems to make it frizzy. I think this straightener just wasn't hot enough for me, or maybe it was too wet for my very fine hair. I gave it 4 stars because the product was so well made that I think it would probably work on other, more forgiving hair as well. types.
