I bought this because it was the smallest fm transmitter for the ipod nano. It integrated well with the iPod and I had no trouble picking a station. The real problem was static. I tried several "clear" FM channels in the Nashville area but couldn't get a good, clean signal on any of them. There was always hiss or hiss in the background. I think this transmitter just isn't strong enough. I have also tried placing it in several places in my car. I would not recommend that. I have a friend who has a Monster Cable FM transmitter and charger. He didn't have the same problems.
