Much better than a regular bungee cord when you need strength and stiffness. The cord has a strong bend that stretches less than a regular cord, meaning it holds things in place much better. This is offset by the fact that it is fully adjustable from 6" to 40" when unstretched. The strong hooks are made from plastic coated steel which is advertised as being stronger than traditional coated wire. The adjustment cam works very simply and intuitively and you can just tighten it after wrapping it around what you are holding. As reported by another reviewer, the actual locking mechanism differs from what is pictured on this product page; This appears to be an improvement as it can't be released under tension without coming loose, while the one originally pictured by Revain looks like it could come loose if you accidentally pull the cable tail out of the locking notch.
