White filter is excellent - poor quality purple filter

Like many other reviewers, my 10 year old vacuum was losing suction. After disassembling the whole vacuum and cleaning everything, I still had an issue with the suction power. Through a few YouTube videos I discovered that there is a secret filter inside the vacuum cleaner. This is supposed to be a lifetime filter, but as you can see from the photos above, that's not the case. This replacement filter looks and works just like the original (see second photo). After installation, my vacuum cleaner started vacuuming again. My only complaint is that the second purple filter is of poor quality and rather useless. My original purple filter still works after cleaning so I threw away the purple filter that came with the white filter.
