I bring old computers back to life. i do it for fun I do this to keep them out of the landfills. I do this to provide cheap computers to people on low incomes. And I even upgrade my old beast from time to time - part here, part there. When my ASROCK motherboard died, I bought ASUS because I could reuse all my other hardware. However, since ASUS allowed me to install an AM3 processor, I later bought it to upgrade. And what an update it was. This ASUS/AMD combo is still an old configuration, but it's so much better than the one I had and I love it. Reliable, as you would expect from AMD.
