The product is highly diluted and has almost no beneficial effect on pH in water. Follow Fritz's instructions for the higher pH bottle (e.g. shake before use, 1 cap/20 gallons, etc.). Within a few weeks, I noticed that the pH of the aquarium was getting more and more acidic. Bought a second pH test kit to make sure it reads correctly. Withdrawn a sample (4 oz) from an aquarium tested at pH 6.2, added a full capful of 'Fritz pH high' to this 4 oz sample, waited 10 minutes as directed and retested the sample. The pH showed 6.4. Did the same test with another pH up product in a 4 ounce aquarium water sample and the pH peaked at 14+ - as it should be.
