I have 2 boys. One is only 2 months so he shares a room w us in his bassinet & the other is 2 yrs old so he sleeps in his own room. Originally i bought one just for my 2 month old bc my 2 yr old already had a white noise machine w projecting lights. We loved this one so much we decided to replace my 2 yr olds white noise machine w one of these. It has plenty of settings & the white noise sounds so smooth & authentic not like other machines that even sound a little scary lol. It can also get PRETTY loud to help cover the whole room. The baby music is lovely, we recently started playing one of the lullabies for my 2 yr old instead of white noise. I absolutely LOVE that you don’t have to go through the settings every time you turn it on bc it starts wherever you leave off. Light dimmer is beautiful. Two things i would love: to be able to travel w it w/o having to plug it in & for it not to have such a loud "max” noise. If you go to the max volume/light brightness it does like a really loud "ding”.
