Good value juicer

I was looking for a quality juicer that would do a good job juicing organic produce. My previous juicer was dripping pulp so it didn't work at all. I specifically wanted the best celery juicer since I drink it almost every day. While searching, I came across the Discount Juicers YouTube channel. The videos were so informative and maybe that's why I had such a great experience with this juicer. I knew what to expect even before it arrived. After watching his videos I decided to take the risk and buy the Greenstar Pro. After using it for less than a week a horrible grinding noise started and I couldn't stop it so I sent it back to Amazon and sent a replacement. I liked almost everything about this car. It may take a little while to clean up (about 10 minutes), but other than that it's great. Here's a list of pros and cons, but do some research and watch the videos from the channel above and see for yourself what's good. Different juicers are suitable for different needs. Notes: This is commercial quality and comes with a 15 year manufacturer warranty. That's great. This machine is a masticatory juicer, which means it runs slower than a centrifugal juicer. But that's the point. Instead of grinding food into a pulp, he slowly grinds it to gently squeeze out the juice. That means less oxidation and a fresher, nutrient-rich juice. It takes about 2 minutes to juice 16 ounces of celery, and if that's too long in commercial terms, they make a variety of centrifugal machines that will do it in 30 seconds or less. Advantages: β€’ Commercial quality with a 15 year guarantee β€’ Double gears made from 100% stainless steel. They're workhorses, and since they're one-piece parts, there's much less risk of breakage (but if a cog breaks, they'll send you replacements right away). A slightly cheaper version of this juicer has double plastic gears. on one side and stainless steel on the other. However, if you buy this model, you can upgrade the gears for $100-$200 in the future, and they're worth it. β€’ The included cleaning tools are fantastic! The scraper will save you 20 or more minutes of cleaning once you figure out how to use it (we spent seriously 30 minutes cleaning the screen the first few times and ended up watching a video on how to properly use the scraper on the screen aligns and it took about 60 seconds .clean afterwards). β€’ The included accessories are great too, and there are quite a few others you can buy to make things like homemade breadsticks, which is a cool feature although I haven't used it yet. Multi-purpose machines are great, and when you consider the cost of these, it's even more worth it because it's not just a giant, expensive juicer. β€’ The pulp comes out very dry compared to a centrifugal juicer. It may be a bit moist, but it's far drier than anything my Breville has ever given me, even after re-squeezing the pulp 3 or 4 times. β€’ Drier pulp means I spend less on groceries because I get more juice from less product. β€’ Pulp quality. Juice is much better than using a centrifuge. For example: With celery juice, the lighter the green, the better. Think of it like an apple that has been cut open and is lying there. The more it oxidizes, the darker. The same goes for your juice. The centrifuge can rotate at about 800 rpm. This exposes your product to much more air at high speeds, greatly accelerating the oxidation process. Greenstar pro does not reach speeds above 100 rpm. This compares to 'chewing' the product and squeezing out the juice slowly and gently β€’ Makes a fantastic fruit sorbet. Any frozen fruit you have can be sent straight into the machine and look like slightly firmer soft serve ice cream. That's a great thing on a hot day. Disadvantages: β€’ Best used with solid food. You can use juice from soft foods, but it must be mixed with hard foods. β€’ Cost β€’ Cleaning can be difficult (it takes about 10 minutes to wash and dry). I don't put anything in the dishwasher as it often leaves marks and I don't want to clean it. So if your dishwasher performs better than mine, it probably isn't a problem for many parts. Note. Again, I highly recommend finding and watching a video on how to use the included screen scraper. It really is the best tool if you know how to use it.
