This poncho was bought for my 10 year old to take to camp. If you are looking for something heavy, this poncho is not for you. If you want something that folds up easily and fits back into your storage bag and looks almost the same as when you bought it, start wearing this poncho now. If you are looking for an inexpensive poncho that your child will love and that will help keep them dry, this is perfect. My son loved the color and it was big enough for an average height 10 year old. You can remind them that the storage bag is reusable. I didn't, and the bag didn't come home from storage. our bad, not isotonic. I suggested he throw it away after I brought it home without the bag but he insisted for us to keep it and it is currently curled up in a closet in his room waiting for a rainy day. :-) Wrinkles are terrible, although most likely it's the mother who is concerned, not the child.
