I haven't decided on full trailer coverage yet, but I see no reason not to cover "lightweight" items that could potentially be damaged by UV or weather. My electrical jack falls into this category. This bag fits him perfectly and the zippered drawstring cord secures the bag very well (it's still on the jack after hundreds of miles anyway). Polyethylene 600D is a good heavy fabric for this application and is more UV resistant than nylon. It also looks better than a 5g camping bucket. One unexpected thing I like is that I can use the jack without removing the lid. I don't know why it hadn't occurred to me before, but I figured I'd remove and replace the cap frequently, when in fact I've put it on once and never taken it off except to check for condensation or other unexpected things. problems (which I have not found).
