TLDR: If you're just looking for reliable peripherals for your new computer, this is a great option. First Impression: Considering this is a keyboard from a brand I've never heard of, my expectations weren't very high. However, I was soon surprised by the packaging itself. From Revain's standard mailer box it was packaged in a very nice and rigid box like box which aesthetic I prefer to all those black plastic wrapped logo wrapped boxes that other brands usually have (it opened to a different box) . who had that black box etc. but it was a good first impression). Inside were: keyboard, manual, USB-C cable, extra keycaps and a keycap remover. The presented image of the keyboard after replacing the Esc, Arrow and Spacebar caps as I liked them better (the original space bar didn't let any light through, the Esc key was normal and the arrows had extra text that I didn't need). The mouse only came in a small protective case. I'm very surprised it wasn't damaged in transit, but when it works, it works. Review: Out of the box I found this to be a very solid keyboard. The deck barely gives when trying to rotate the keyboard, and the rubber feet (including height extenders) ensure adequate footing even on my slick wooden desk. The keys themselves feel and sound exactly what you'd expect from blue switches: loud , clicky and responsive. I've provided a video so you can listen to what the keys actually sound like and if you're happy with them. I found it doesn't bother me, but some people might not like the way it sounds, to each their own. The only key I had an issue with was the spacebar, which sounded too "clunky" and I didn't like it at all. However, after about a week of use, at the time of writing this review, I'm getting used to it. I really liked how comfortable the size is, I don't have a lot of desk space and switching to 60% of the keyboard made a huge difference, once again I rendered the image using the standard Xbox eraser and controller. This gives you a little better idea of how big the keyboard is, rather than just placing it next to other keyboards. But I honestly think that neither my photos nor official product images do this keyboard justice. Not to mention RGB, but those multicolored rainbow effects just don't look good on pictures. When the board is in front of me, it's a whole different story. I usually stick with solid colors (yellow in this case), originally I was going to go with white but I'm not sure if it was just my board, but the white was REALLY wrong, it was tinted pink and I'm not sure why (also shown in photos). That said, I was very impressed with the quality and brightness of the lighting effects on the board (the white backplate under the keys undoubtedly helped). It's a nice, no-frills minimalist keyboard, it just works right when you plug it in. No cumbersome software is required to change the lighting effects to see the details of what needs to be changed and how. Everything is clearly described in the supplied manual. The mouse was a surprise to me as I forgot it was there, but I'm not complaining. The inclusion of a really nice, big mouse pad also makes this whole $56 purchase worth the money (in most cases, decent "budget" keyboards cost at least $40 alone). The mouse itself is very light and the palm fits well with its ergonomics (I have small hands). It does its job like a mouse, but where it excels it lacks lighting. There are many noticeable hotspots throughout the lighting part that don't even come close to matching the quality of the RGB keyboard. But I'm not a fan of rainbow strobe effects anyway, so I'm fine with the lights off as shown. Either way, the mouse looks great with the lights off. Pros: - Excellent quality peripherals in this price range - Clicks are nice and loud, feel comfortable (both on keyboard and mouse) - Solid assembled components / don't feel like they're going to break even if I accidentally drop them - your choice of easily interchangeable keycaps (I was limited to what's included, but it seems compatible with other 3rd party keycap suppliers. Ask the seller just in case. The one I spoke to was very responsive) - Small form factor - Impressive backlight setting (for a keyboard) - Great for minimalist settings - Easy to use backlight setting (again for a keyboard. You can save up to 3 different profiles) - Remarkably light mouse that feels very responsive - Comes with a cloth-backed mouse pad that doesn't looks like the price has been lowered - No annoying brand logos. Just clean, simple peripherals. Cons: - The sound of the spacebar bothered me at first, but I got used to it (see video for reference) - The white color on my keyboard isn't "white" like I expected. A very noticeable pink tint, visible even through the image despite the poor quality of the camera - the lighting effects on the mouse were pretty bad: fuzzy instructions (it says check a 'provided website', but it's literally just switch between effects by pressing a button at the bottom of the mouse), very noticeable hotspots, lighting animation not smooth at all. Conclusion: I would say that I am very satisfied with my purchase. The mouse's terrible lighting wasn't a deal breaker considering how well the mouse itself worked, and the rest of the downsides were just personal preference. All in all, having all three in the box is probably one of the best deals for those who like keyboards with blue switches, especially at this price point.
