I paid over $65 for this antenna because I wanted to increase my range and OTA channel count. I lost channels when installing the device. My first and still working OTA antenna cost about $52, had a range of 150 miles and gave me 42 channels. The original (five star) antenna installation reduced the number of channels to 34, plus a lot of pixelation on the channels that came. I lost channels near the top of my range. After some research I concluded that the problem was with the 40ft cable that came with the install. The cable wasn't marked so I'm assuming it's RG59 with cheap shielding. The cable was thinner and thinner than cheap cables. I bought and installed good quality RG6 cable and connected the old antenna to the new one. I was still having problems, got frustrated and bought another PINGDINGPONG antenna for my dual antenna attic system. Now I have a spare antenna. I don't think it costs more money than other antennas I've bought.
