Review on Omega 449 01 Replacement Transmitter K9Mundialss by Geoff Cooper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great replacement. Quick sync, no problem for Omega R&D Alarm

I recently bought a Nissan Frontier with an Omega R&D 449 car alarm but the key fob broke. I lost it almost 3 times. This new one synchronized easily with the instructions from the OEM website. A27 battery is included, already installed on the key fob for the program. NEW or USED Controller/Key Fob - With the engine running, turn the ignition on. Within 7 seconds of starting the engine, quickly press the service button 5 times to hear the alarm bellow notifying you that you are in programming mode. Press the unlock button or any button for your new controller and you're done. Each time you press the button for each successfully synced new/used fob, you will hear an alarm confirmation bark. - Next, turn off the ignition, get out of the car and have a festive dance. Note: The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it arrived in a huge white UPS bag with no packaging or in a small box so the buttons were dirty. I had to wipe it down with alcohol to keep the buttons looking new.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
