Once installed these panels look very neat. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they aren't as matte as I would like and the instructions really leave a lot to be desired. For best results: 1. Remove the old faceplate and unclip the SWITCH (or jack). The reason is that this new bezel is thicker than the cheap ones you're replacing and if you loosen the switch it can eventually sit flush. Turn the MOUNTING PLATE OVER and screw it onto the switch. The mounting plate is supplied in the front panel with the back facing forward. Because of this, some people mention a gap or that the bezel is not properly fastened. Now retighten the switch screws to secure the entire unit to the wall. Do not overtighten or the switch will not sit flush with the bezel.4. Put on the front panel. Sometimes, especially with multiple switch panels, it may take some force to engage each tab. Listen for a click to hold it in place. Easy to remove by inserting a flathead screwdriver into the slot underneath.
