I have thin, very straight hair - long on top and short on the sides - and this is my favorite product at the moment. It has a creamy, pasty consistency that immediately begins to "stick" when rubbed between the hands. It's fairly easy to apply to the hair, although as the product ages in the tin it does become a little thicker/stickier and doesn't apply as smoothly. Pleasantly subtle aroma - like mint chocolate! The strength of the hold depends on the amount used - a small amount is enough for a more flexible, relaxed hold; more gives a fairly strong/bulking hold without being "crunchy" or flaky. Neutral shine. Washes out fairly easily. The hockey puck case it comes in looks cool, but it's both good and bad. Because it's so large but flat, it doesn't have a lot of room to shop around to grab the smooth sides, and it can be difficult to open. This is especially true when a product gets caught in the thread and it "burns out”. In addition, the wide surface area exposes more of the product to the air, allowing it to dry faster. However, this is not usually a problem unless used occasionally. The downside is that because the jar is so flat, it's easy to get to the product below. Generally a good thing.
