There are hundreds of belt options on Amazon. The belt I replaced has been around for over 20 years and I finally stumbled across this one and I'm glad I did. It was a bit more expensive than others but worth every penny. I use this belt as a work belt so I wanted at least 1.5 inches (that's 1.75) and was hoping the skin itself would be thick, which it is. I can say that this belt will last a very long time. My ONLY con that I know I'll have to wait and see how it wears is the length. Every belt I own is a size 36 so I bought this belt in a size 36 and it runs quite small. I have taken it to other straps and the holes are slightly shorter than the others. I'm pretty sure this strap will stretch a little with use, so I'm not worried about that. It has a very strong leather smell which I really like. What do you expect from the new skin? I'll probably buy another one of these belts in a different color when I'm done writing this review. I got dark brown and that's exactly what the picture is. looks. Buy this belt.
