I bought these straps to replace another ratchet strap I got for Christmas. This failed due to the poor construction of the ratchet closure, which pressed too hard on a small piece of metal with two small springs. These new straps are much better equipped with a ratchet system that spreads the pressure on the ratchet buckle across the width of the strap.
