Great device. Works well! Recommended

I was trying to figure out if this watch was worth the cost and hassle and if I would like to wear it all the time. This seems like a good choice. To that end, I tried and reviewed two other brands that certainly had good benefits but were a bit disappointing. I finally chose the Garmin because I read a lot of positive reviews and also heard from other users that it is a great fitness watch and that users are very happy with it. I first looked at the Vivoactive version but found it a little less than aesthetically suited to me. In the end I chose this device. I am very very satisfied.1. What's in the box?: You will receive a watch and cradle charger and some instructions.2. Setup?: Setup was a little easy. I charged the watch, the stand makes charging easier as it is a USB based device the watch simply grabs the device and sits inside unlike some other more problematic approaches which I tend to hate. After loading with percent display I just turned it on as instructed and left. This has to be done in conjunction with the Garmin Connect app and to be honest, after looking at the manual, the watch was found immediately and without any problems. I had no connection problems.3. Use?: Ah, great. The app is fun and actually the best I've found so far, although a competitor in this market also has a great app, but it's a killer app. So much information is available and update on the watch. Although the information for this different brand is easily accessible and contains a little more hidden information in addition to the usual information, it is still easy to navigate. There is literally more information than I need, but I'm more than willing to experiment. Steps, heart rate, sleep, etc. are easily accessible and easy to see by just opening the app. You can scroll and gather more information like I said. There is also something to see and experience here. For walking as an activity, you can add this immediately, but you can also come up with activities. Battery life?: Excellent. It depends on how often you look at and interact with the clock. For "normal" use, which for me means checking it multiple times (well, about 10 times a day) and browsing the app, the battery life is at least a couple of days. This watch also says you need to charge. And with the Bluetooth connection switched on, I have had many days so far. The more you interact, the more battery is consumed. notifications? I set this up so I don't have to compulsively look at my phone. It works well. Of course I can't answer, but I see who calls, writes and emails and declines. I've found this to work well and is easy. Of the different types I've tried, this one works best for notifications. Wear?: The dial is quite large and the strap isn't graceful either. This is probably the ore of men's watches and then women's watches. When considering, consider the aspect of size. But the comfort is excellent. I forget I even wear a watch when it's on for a long time. Fun?: The screen is in color, albeit at a fairly low resolution. I love that you can change the watch faces with personal photos or use many of the ones available in the app. I have to admit that I actually like the default watch face, simple and neat, but depending on your preference, all options are available. Understanding how to navigate and upload can be confusing at first, but once you understand what you're doing, it's easy. For a workout where you want to use GPS, just scroll down on the watch to Activity and press Start. While it took a while to find the GPS the first time (maybe two minutes), it's pretty quick after that and works great. I like seeing the route displayed in the app as well as the metrics. It's very cool and gives you a sense of accomplishment. What's not here? : Super cool color screen. Vegas-style workout videos on billboards on your watch. Bright design. There's definitely no intuitive music controls, although it seems you can add them, but personally I don't need them. Music cannot be saved. Not touch screen. I went with the silver bezel which I think looks neater and I love that you can switch bands too (although you only get the base black when you buy it). I bought the group through the manufacturer and it is very good. I see others are offered here, it will be your choice. I kept fiddling with the clock, learning how to scroll (the back button is on the bottom right! Use it!) and how to do things, and once you work at it a bit it all starts to make sense. and it will be easy. Easy to carry, no complaints. High cotton in summer is here. Overall?: Great. I love it, and it's one of the few tech subjects that after a few days, it just so organically came into my life, like I've had it forever. I really enjoy looking at my personal data and losing my temper (did I mention it tells you to move when you're static?). I love this watch so far. I think you get what you pay for. I mentioned you can add golf courses, walk, and traverse holes, but what not? Brilliant. Really great value because you find things to use rather than finding limitations and a desire to improve the watch. It's also a fitness watch, but compared to this fruity brand, which certainly has some cool features, the thing doesn't need to be charged all the time. Terrorize!
