When drying, it does not become transparent, but turns into an elastic, brown-beige, latex-like material. Overall, it's pretty ugly and doesn't look very pretty on anything. I got it everywhere including carpet and towels. I also ruined an expensive purse, a pair of socks, and a faux fur pillow. Things I didn't even know about were only in danger because they were too close to my splice. It's almost impossible to get it out and I've never managed to remove it completely. I've also had terrible results with transparent, delicate, and light colors, so I wouldn't try it unless there's a hidden area to test first. This is an amazing glue that definitely does its job and holds things together. I love this stuff and use it all the time, but I definitely make sure to clean everything around the work area so nothing sticks that shouldn't.
