Ok I have used this window film and I want to share my tips. First, when done right, it looks so good! It really looks like frosted glass! If you have to choose between window film and frosted glass spray can, be sure to choose film. I wanted a permanent/semi-permanent solution. I thought the spray would be more durable. NOT CORRECT! It scratches at the slightest bump. This foil is much more durable than spray and looks fantastic. That being said, here are some thoughts. Someone else here recommended using a credit card to remove air/water bubbles and it works really well. So unless you're working with a large area, I'd say CC would be ideal. Now when you unroll the film to use you will notice that it tends to curl slightly in the direction it was unrolled. I have unfortunately found that if you try to put it on a window surface it can curl up at the ends. This is not acceptable to me, so I rewound the film back onto the cardboard roll in reverse. Be careful and gently roll back in the opposite direction it came from and leave it for a while. I found 30 to 60 minutes was fine. This removes some of the film's "curl" and causes it to curl less at the ends. A note: if you bend or bend the film too much it will leave marks that may or may not appear when applied, so be careful. You will have blisters after it dries. It's impossible to avoid. Most of them are small, and some can either be marginalized and removed, or spread out with CC or Sketch so they're practically invisible. If you can, attach the film to the BACK of each window you make. It looks better this way. In other words, whatever surface you're looking at most of the time, place the slide on the opposite side if possible. Aside from making it look more like real etched glass this way, small bubbles are also invisible. I have found that once applied to glass the film slides very easily if enough water is used. So I finally cut the foil to the right size so I didn't have to worry about cutting the ends after installation. Don't be afraid to peel it off and reapply it if it doesn't look good the first time. I had to do this once when I found a cat's whiskers between the foil and the glass (I wonder where that came from!?). It's so easy to repeat either during application or even after drying. I'm so glad I found this product and it's pretty cheap for what you get after applying it. BTW I made it myself so it could definitely be a one man job. I hope your project is going well and I have helped you in some way.
