These are comfortable sandals for shopping, running errands, etc., but I would never take them to difficult terrain. First, the fit is a little tight. I usually wear a size 8 but they say I liked the size 8 so much I went for a size 9. Another design flaw. The shoes are tight in the toes and there is no way to loosen or tighten this. However, pull the other straps from midfoot to heel, you can adjust them with the drawstring at the back, which is interesting. I had to adjust the straps and tighten and readjust the rope to get a good fit. Very cute, comfortable for every day, no hiking shoes, kind of sums up my review.
