I bought a new Samsung Smart TV for my living room and it only had an optical audio output while my old one had an analog (RCA) output. So I saw this device, it was only $10 so I decided to give it a try as I really wanted the TV to go through my stereo like it used to. The device arrived in a few days and I only used it for a week and it worked very well. The sound is clear, at a good level, improves the sound from the TV.
